Joe Gibbs and Norm Miller Face Off

The night of January 23rd, 2009, former Washington Redskins coach Joe Gibbs and Interstate Batteries chairman Norm Miller competed in a match race during the intermission between the A Main and Top Dog races. Miller started out front and led the first five circuits. On lap 6, Gibbs made a bid for the lead in Turn 4 and sent Miller barrel-rolling into the outside wall. At that point, the duel was halted and an apologetic Gibbs was declared the winner.
