Arena Racing USA looks to delay season opener in Charlotte.

Arena Racing USA may delay the opening of the 2008/09 season at Cricket Arena in Charlotte, NC until January ’09. The reason for the delay would be to allow more time for the search of a new owner/operator in that market.

"We have made a tremendous investment in Charlotte and plan to make some changes to add much needed experience to that license," stated Ricky Dennis, the founder and League President. "With the proper operator in place to build the awareness and fan base, Arena Racing USA-Charlotte could become another important racing asset in the Racing Capital of the World."

Upon notifying the racers in Charlotte, the response for this decision was overwhelmingly supportive. "They understand the value these changes will bring to the drivers, teams and sponsors as well as the increase in the fun level at the events," added Dennis.
